Only phone calls in the forty years since my first two years at GUSD with Jim in Washington DC. His honesty and sense of humor helped several of us through those preclinical years. I was fortunate to have known such a loyal soldier of St. Ignatius. Thank you, Jim, and Godspeed.

Jim was one of the sweetest, most caring and good-hearted people our family has ever known. Jim’s warm smile, kind words and fun-loving spirit were never-ending. Whether it was going to a Broadway play, watching the St Patrick’s Day Parade or enjoying dinner at the Monkey Bar or Angus McIndoe, Jim always made our good times even better. We have such wonderful memories of being with Jim and his family over the course of many years. We were truly blessed to have known Jim and to have had him as a part of our lives for so many years. He will be missed beyond words.

Thank you for being a good friend all these years. The last time we spoke over the phone in early Dec. you sounded very optimistic about your treatment so we were planning on celebrating your B-day on Dec.17,my treat of rack of lamb at your favorite restaurant here in LI City. I just sent you a healing card last week at home and I was shocked upon learning of your passing today when I called your office . I will continue to pray for you and your family. Dear grieving family, My wife and I are very sorry for your tremendous loss and would like to express our condolences to the entire family. We cannot imagine the great pain and sorrow you are experiencing during this most difficult time. When we lose someone we love so dearly we are left with a very strong desire to see that person again. It's wonderful to know that God has promised we will see our loved ones who have fallen asleep in death. John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 gives this wonderful reassurance: "Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life." What a marvelous hope! Once again we wish to express our condolences to the family. And although we cannot erase the pain and sorrow you are experiencing, it is our hope that this can give you a small measure of comfort.
