I was so sorry to hear about the tragic news last Saturday. Bill was a good friend of mine and an extremely nice, selfless individual. I will miss him tremendously. After working together for many years while I was at Sony, I built a personal relationship with Bill. My heart dropped when I heard the news.

Though I had not seen Bill in far too many years, I thought about him often. Whenever I think of how great it was to be a kid, Bill comes to mind. Bill's sense of humor is something I will always remember. Much to our 8th grade teachers' dismay, Bill introduced me to MAD magazine. We'd sit in class, passing a MAD magazine back & forth and strain ourselves trying not to burst out laughing. And when Bill went off to Portsmouth Abbey, I wanted to follow. He was that good a friend. I will always cherish our friendship. Karen, Katie, Mrs. Fitzgerald, John and Ellen, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My dearest condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to Karen, Katie, Mrs. Fitzgerald, John and Ellen on the shocking loss of your husband, father, son, and brother. Bill was a great guy, and I will always cherish the childhood memories we had as friends growing up. The early years together of riding our first Schwinn bikes, elementary school at Saint John's, the little league baseball team, and playing sports for countless hours days and years in the backyards, and neighborhood sandlots of Old Saybrook. Bill was intelligent, with a great sense of humor, and unforgettable laugh. We had not seen each other for many years, however we had the opportunity to reconnect during the passing of Mr. Fitz several years ago.My deepest sympathy to the family of Bill, he is gone but not forgotten, and I am sure he is in the hands of God with Jim and Mr. Fitz.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Bill. Though I haven't seen Bill for quite a few years, my thoughts of him as a funny, intelligent, charming, and all-around cool dude are fresh in my memory. I remember hanging out at the Fitzgerald house as a kid, playing ball with Bill and his brothers in our neighborhood sandlot, and testing his deep knowledge of music (and lots of other things)... and Billy always had interesting and thoughtful answers, as well as excellent stories! My sincere condolences to Mrs. Fitz, John, Ellen, Karen, Katherine, and all of Bill's family and friends. We have lost a great man and a great character. Rock on Bill...

Bill was my first roommate in my first year as a boarding school student in high school. It was a scary time in my life and I was lucky to room with a guy who was both fun, intelligent without being overbearing ,and we had a shared passion for great music and musicians. We had our petty fights and disagreements but over time a deep mutual kinship developed, built on great respect and trust. He could always be counted on to give you the straight scoop.I was lucky that he was even able to attend my wedding, some 12 hour drive from where he lived at the time. I was happy (and a little jealous)that he made a living in promoting/furthering the performance arts such as musical events/concerts,because it was his special interest all his life. I want send my deepest condolences to his wife and child that unfortunately I never got to meet that I am so sorry to not be standing there at the funeral for the great man who was my friend 35 years ago and ever since. We'll all miss Bill!

Karen and Katie, Bill and I became friends several years back when I was working at eBay. Through the years our friendship has grown even though we were on opposite coasts. We would talk on the phone often. I have two daughters and ironically one is the same age as Katie named Katherine too. Bill would always tell me how blessed he is to have such a loving wife and beautiful daughter. He was so proud of both of you. The last time we spoke Bill invited me to come meet both of you and I was really looking forward to that. Please let me know if I can help you in any way during the difficult time now or in the future. You can reach me at gregjp14@sbcglobal.net or (408) 234-0145. I would be honored to help in any way I can. Bill was a loving and honorable dad, husband, son and friend and I will miss him deeply. My thoughts and prayers go out to your and your family. God bless you and remember that Bill loved you both so much, he is now watching over you from heaven above.

Dear Karen and Katie, This is Jeanne and Terence, (Georgette's parents). We are so shocked and sorry about the sudden loss of your dear husband/father. We briefly had the opportunity to get to know Bill when Gigi and Katie played basketball together last year. We were taken by his warmth, kindness and easy laugh. Since that time every time we saw him he had a smile and something nice to say. I (Jeanne) just spoke with him at pick-up and he asked how the babies were doing... There are no words to make you feel better... but know that the community is praying for you, and thinking about you, and truly feeling an overwhelming sadness for your great loss. We are here for you.

Dear Karen and Katherine: I worked for Bill while at Momentum in Atlanta GA back in 1999-2001 when I was first getting started in my career. He was wonderful to work for and feel he mentored me in my career at the company. He pushed me to be a better marketer and gave me many educational opportunities to learn. Today, I have my own botique agency. I hadn't talked to Bill in years but still thought often about how he had helped me. I am very sorry for your loss and wish you the best.
