Since childhood he has been my role model, The one person I had always wanted to be like. My confidant, my friend, who I dared share thoughts that I would share with no other. The pain would be to horrible to endure, except knowing I will hold him in my arms and cry with joy at having been reunited with him in the Kingdom of Christ. And that is what I wait for now, the only thing that gives me any reprieve from the pain I feel at loosing him now. For I love him with such a deep abiding love that words fall far short of the reality. Alex was always gifted with an unusual amount of love, caring & protective responsibility that was God given. It was just a part of him, as was his wonderful sense of humor. I know without a shadow of doubt that when I die, I will first be face to face with Jesus Christ. But standing next to my Lord will be my brother with that wonderful smile on his face. That knowing smirk, those twinkling eyes. And we will walk hand in hand as he leads me home once more.

Alex was our big, strong, loving, teddy bear. Al didn't know limits. His work ethic and dedication remains unmatched. His devotion to his family and friends was endless. He celebrated the good and helped us through the tuff times. Whatever you needed, Alex was there. Al's love was constant, he gave it unselfishly and without limits. He was appropriately nicknamed the "Always Boy" by his mom. Alex fought this horrific disease to the end with strength and dignity like the Marine he was. He endured the unthinkable yet NEVER, ever, asked anyone to carry that burden for him. His big comfy hugs, his infectious laugh, his beautiful warm eyes will forever be missed. Alex will remain in our lives forever, our one and only "Always Boy". Rest well Ali, you did good, you did amazingly good. Your love for your sweetheart, Maureen, and your great kids was touching to witness. We send our love and support to that beautiful family of yours. Our love for you is forever. Kathy and Bob Krueger

I too fondly rememeber wrestling around with cousin Alex and his brothers with my brother Phil at grandma and grandpa's house. Dear Aunt Betty was probably not to pleased. I think cousin Carol was to young to join in. God bless Alex and his family. Although I haven't seen my cousins in many years they still old a special place in my heart, will always be loved and never forgotten.

I am sad to hear of cousin Alex's passing. I fondly remember wrestling and roughhousing around my parents and grandparents homes, as a child, with him and his brothers and referring to him as AliBean rather than Alex. We are all proud of him and his accomplishments, courage and dignity. God Bless him and his family and may he rest in peace.

Alex believed once a friend, always a friend and would never let you down even as his health was declining, he would continue to look for opportunities for me. If your spirits were low, he would lift them up. He gave people what they needed when they needed it. He will forever live in the hearts of many. Love you brother!

Brother Alex’s demise is a huge and painful loss to me as a friend and to the many lives he touched. Alex did so much good for so many people including me. I respected him for living fearlessly the way he wanted to live, saying what he meant and doing what he said. Alex’s rise to Supervisor in Bell Labs was phenomenal and his leadership was full of modesty, humility and sincerity. He worked long and many hours to ensure the success of his group. He did the work of many people to ensure their success. We pray that God grant Brother Alex a peaceful resting place, May his soul rest in eternal peace. Victor Lawrence.

Jennifer, Robert, Please accept my most sincere condolences on your bereavement. I had the opportunity to meet Al only a couple of times, yet I was struck by his intelligence, his kindness, and the depth of his inner strength. He left a lasting impression on me. A few folks, beloved of God, complete their life’s journey very quickly, as if on a mission, and accomplish a lot more than most others can even dream of doing in a much longer life span. Al is with God now and in rest. May He grant him eternal peace and may His caring hand be upon you always. May the loving memories that Al has left you sustain you and become his legacy. God bless you all.

Losing Alex is a huge loss. Alex was a special person to his family, friends, and colleagues. He always cared for his family and helped numerous people who needed help, even injured animals were not neglected by his kindness. He even helped neighbors, friends, and family while he was living with awful pain. Even though I never have privilege to meet Alex in person, it was more than enough to feel his kindness, warmth, humor, generosity, love and caring. I spoke with him many times over the phone and once on Skype and he was always interested in my home country of Korea and loved travel. He was my American big brother and as a nurse, I’m sorry I could not have done more for him. I would like to send my condolence to Joan & Philip (my adopted parents), Carol (my sissy), Tom (my other brother). Especially, I send my condolence to Maureen, Jenn & Rob and their children, and Justin & Hillary. They were wonderful supports of Alex while he fought his illness.

My brother Alex had tremendous compassion. Without reservation, he made enormous sacrifices for his family and friends and performed acts of kindness to acquaintances and extended this to animals in need. I remember how, on the way home from work, he picked up an injured blue jay on the road and nurtured it back to health. In Alex’s style, he read everything about blue jays remaining resolute in finding a solution. His kindness was matched by his brilliant mind and his major contributions to the field of engineering and yet, his humility was remarkable. My brother was a kind, decent person, dedicated to the protection of his family, doing what is right, and put quality in all that he did. I am proud of Alex and will miss the discussions we had for our shared love for family, friends, travel, and work. I love Alex more than the stars in heaven and we take comfort in the sweet memories he instilled in our hearts by the way he lived and how he bravely fought for his life.

Our beloved son Alex fought his battle with cancer the way he lived his life, with courage, humor, spirit, and a love for all mankind. He was aided in his fight by the devotion and endless care of his wife Maureen and the constant presence of his children and grandchildren. We were all with him at his bedside until the end. Our consolation is that he has finally been released from all his pain and resides with God. We love him with all our hearts and will miss him forever

Dear Maureen,Jenn,Justin& Family I know it's never easy saying "Goodbye" to someone you Love, Cherish and hold close to your Heart, But I also know how much Alex Loved his family and that he fought so bravely against his cancer for so long was a testament to the fact that he wanted every minute that God gave him to be spent with You. I know that you will all miss him very much and the great pain that only Time will heal, but remember that as long as you hold him in your Heart then Alex is still here with You. As we emailed one another this past year I marveled at the way Alex minimized his surgeries and his 24/7 pain.He focused on his family and what they were all going through in support of him against the cancer . In my book, Alex epitomized what a Family Man is all about ! Always putting his Family First. God Bless You ! Bob & Lisa Wilson

Alex - everything wonderful said about you is certainly true and more. You were much too young to bid farewell to your family and friends. I will always have fond memories working and socializing with you. May your family seek solace in remembering all of the happy moments together. From one Marine to another, "Semper Fi" Brother.
