To Karen and Family, I was so very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing and your Dad last year. I knew them years ago whenever I visited my friend Karen who I met at Deep Cut Park years ago! I always remember how warm they always were and how their home was always so inviting. Please accept my deepest condolences at this time and know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember Long Beach Island vacations with lots and lots of cousins. Our families would rent several houses on one block-the week before prices...and the ocean temperature increased for the summer season. Uncle Bill and Aunt Rose were always welcoming. The only time she raised her voice was calling us for those mouth watering, Jersey shore, summer meals. Feeding that sunburned mob was a testimony to her grace under pressure.

I recall Aunt Rose was one of the most beautiful women I ever met as a child and her husband Uncle Bill one of the most handsome. When visiting their home in Elizabeth, I felt like I had entered into a Norman Rockwell painting, with Aunt Rose baking something delicious; the kids Peter, Karen, Billy, Tommy and Karen all laughing and full of mischeif. And then the sit down dinner where Uncle Bill would ask the question of the night, 'what is the longest river in Australia'? (The Murray-Darling). Later in life, Aunt Rose and Uncle Bill became the familial lifeline to both my mom and dad, providing that connection that only time and shared experience can fill. I feel comforted to know that Rose has a welcoming committee of people that love and cherish her, looking forward to her arrival.

Aunt Rose was a true lady. Beautiful, charming, fun, loving and full of life and energy. A joy to be around, as was Uncle Bill. My memories of all the holidays our families spent together are precious to me. I will miss her dearly. Love to my cousins. RIP Aunt Rose, Uncle Bill and Billy.
