Dave: I am so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. We have lost a wonderful person - I don't have to tell you that! Always enjoyed her sense of humor and could tell she loved her family - things which are so much more important than anything in this world. Unfortunately I never got to meet your daughters but know they will always be blessed because they had a great Mom! May she rest in peace and may you and your family have peace throughout your lives.

Dear Carolyn's Family, I was friends with Carolyn when we went to Madison Avenue School in Irvington. I lived on Orange Avenue and she lived down the street on Allen Street. I remember going over to her house or her coming to mine.. We always had fun. Not sure who moved first from Irvington her or me; but she found me on Facebook about 4 years ago. We kept trying to get together, but it never happen. May her memories of all the good times help you during this most difficult time. As an Angel , Carolyn will be shining and protect ing all of you. RIP Carolyn. With sincerest sympathy, Sharon

Dear Rachel & family, Our family is just heartsick over the news of your mom's passing. Your mom was a treasure and I will always be grateful for her friendship and her love for our family, especially our Hannah. She was one of Hannah's biggest supporters and I have been comforted many times over the past year with messages she had written to me. We are away in Florida visiting my parents and will not be home in time to attend services, but please know that we haven't stopped thinking about your mom and your family since we heard the news. Our hearts and prayers are with you. Much love, John, Sue, Robbie & Hannah in heaven.

Sarah, My relationship with you and your sister was founded through the MRHS cheer program and so my interactions with your mom were limited to that specific sphere. Regarding the coaching situation, your mother always had such passion and spoke with such vigor and urgency. She always spoke her mind and was never afraid of confrontation. She was a strong woman and, as far as I'm concerned, so are you. I cannot imagine the pain you're experiencing right now. Sarah, you have always been a supportive, reliable, and kind person with a bubbly and optimistic personality. You have always had the ability of brightening up anyone's day. Your sister is the same way. I pray that you two don't lose that as a result of this tragedy. The world needs more people like you two. You guys are both talented and beautiful and strong individuals -just like your mom. My thoughts go out to you and your family at this difficult time.

I am so sorry that I am away and can not attend. Carolyn was my neighbor, babysitter and one of the "big kids" I looked up to when I was just small. I vividly remember her waist length blond hair billowing behind her as she rode her pink banana seat bike up and down greenwood place. It had a white basket with flowers that I envied. She recently sent me a message on FACEBOOK and we had resumed a relationship as adults. She was so funny! And so smart! We copied the same things from each other and left the same messages! She loved her family and talked of them frequently and with such pride. I will miss her conversations, her political commentaries and her "likes". To her family, she loved you all, let her live on through you.

I am so heartbroken and shocked to see Carolyn's obituary. I've known her for so many years, and she spoke always of her love for her girls and her husband. We laughed at her military times long ago, and talked about Her plans for Her girls and Her family.... Halloween costumes and the pool and her beloved husband, and all the books she was going to write. I'm heartbroken for all of you and I'm saddened that I will not see her bubbling smiling face in my office and to hear of her stories and her plans. I hope you all know how much I loved and adored Carolyn and hope we can speak so I can tell you more. With the greatest sadness, Dr. Dina

To the Boulton Family, It is with great sadness I send my condolences. I taught both girls music at MFA and had the pleasure of working closely with Carolyn when we did the School House Rock production at SRS. Carolyn was so passionate about bringing her love of theater to the students. Besides coordinating efforts for the show, we got to know each other on a personal level and shared many laughs. Carolyn was so giving as many here have been commenting. She even went out of her way to treat me to a wonderful dinner at a local restaurant when I insisted it was unnecessary. What a wonderful, caring woman. I will always admire her strong sense of self, unafraid to speak her mind. She will truly be missed. Ms. DePresca

Carolyn was the very first girl I met when my family moved back to NJ in 1971...at our bus stop on Greenwood Place in Middletown. We reconnected on Facebook some years ago. She was an amazing, spirited woman who will be missed by so many. I am deeply saddened by her sudden passing and will keep her family in my prayers. It occurred to me late on the evening she died, Christmas, that Jesus only invites the very special people to join Him at His birthday table. Carolyn was truly one of those very special people.

Since learning the sad news Thursday night I have been thinking about the good memories of working with Carolyn with the Monmouth Players in the late 1980s. We served on the board together and on the play-reading committee. We acted together in 3 or 4 shows. I remember so many laughs. She found me in early 2014 via a Google search to tell me about the passing of dear Dean Anderson. We then reconnected on Facebook. I last saw her on stage a few years ago at the Players. We all were lucky to have known and worked with Carolyn. Rest in peace.

Dave,Sarah and Rachel I cannot express how heartsick myself and my family are for your loss. Although we have told you before how truly appreciative we are for always being there for my parents-good neighbors, good friends are hard to come by-please know we're here for all of you. We will never forget Carolyn's eulogy for my brother John, she had a gift for writing -and her comforting words about my brother made us realize it was not how he died BUT how he lived. I don't have to tell you how special she was however I would like to share with you what one of her friends said to me "Carolyn would take the time to let all of us know how important our friendship was and how grateful she was for the friends she had in her life" There have been a lot of great times, good memories, and funny stories many of us in Monmouth Falcons cheer have shared with Carolyn, the cheer mom-our friend -and for those that know and will remember "The Bedazzler" Love from my family to yours, Karen Farrah
