Words cannot express how sad I am to hear about Al. We have lost one of the best, a true gentleman and lifelong friend who we were privileged to know. He touched many with his gentle manner, his humor, wit, and intelligence. He will be greatly missed.

My cousin Allan was such a sweet, good man! I always appreciated his emails letting me know about the annual Cousins’ Weekend at their house every summer.
He was gracious, and always greeted me and everyone with a huge hug and big smile.
We lost a terrific man, and heaven gained an angel. I will miss him terribly and my heart is broken for Carol, Daryl and Dennis and all of his family.

I met Al and Carol on our two trips to Scotland, Due to my knee problems, if Al wasn't aiding Carol, he was helping me every step of the way on difficult climbs. Dear Carol and family, I was lucky to meet your beautiful husband in 2017 on an Outlander tour. His manners and kindness really impressed me. He coped very well with all 19 women and was happy to join in photo shots. Then in 2019 we saw him again. Always helpful and a true gentleman.
