Dearest Lee,
I met you and Doreen in Cape Coral, Fl. Staying with Doc and Donna. What a special time.
Great boat rides with your aunt.
My face still smiles.
Then in Illinois visiting Doc and Donna. What fun.
Lost my husband 6 years ago. Still celebrate our anniversary every year. I am here to help you through this. Memories are everything. Grandchildren will get you through this.
Please visit me when in town with the Docter’s.

My condolences to Lee & Family. We have lost such a wonderful person and the sadness is overwhelming. I met Doreen when we were in our early teens and by our twenties our lives went in different directions but over the past 50+ years our friendship never skipped a beat. It wasn't unusual for us to have 3 to 4 hour telephone conversations of reminiscing and laughter. I will miss you my dearest friend, may you Rest In Peace.

Although I only knew Doreen for a relatively short time I considered her to be a very dear friend. I will always cherish the memories I have of our times together especially at the pool here at Chelsea Square and the vacation we had in the Outer Banks. Funny, smart, beautiful, social, kind, loving. Wife, mother, grandmother. But, to me she was a great friend. Made my day every time I was with her. I had many early morning calls with her. Even when her illness started, she would always make me laugh.
I can’t begin to understand why she was taken from us too soon. Someone wanted her more than we did. I just choose to focus on the friend who made my life better and fuller.

I had the pleasure of taking care of Mrs. Doreen while at the hospital for over a month. I got to know her and Lee very well during her stay. My deepest condolences to her family during this difficult time. She was kind, generous, a FIGHTER, and I loved taking care of her as my patient.
