Edward G. Hamilton, 88, of Holmdel passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the Green Acres Manor Nursing home in Toms River. Born in New York, NY Edward lived in Holmdel for the past 20 years. Mr. Hamilton worked as a Truck Driver for J&J Trucking in Brooklyn, NY. Edward was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth in 1996 and by 6 brothers and 1 sister. Surviving are his daughter Jane Salicco and her husband George, 3 grandsons Christopher, Michael, and Gregory, 10 great grandsons, and 1 great granddaughter. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 9:15AM at St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Holmdel. Entombment will be in Fair View Cemetery, Middletown.
