Obituary of Salvatore V. Sgroi
Salvatore V. Sgroi, 44, of Freehold passed away at home on Wednesday, January 23rd.
He was born to Linda I. (nee Crewe) and Salvatore A. Sgroi in Boonton on August 2, 1974. Salvatore then moved to Colts Neck, where he grew up most of his life, graduating from Marlboro High School before moving to Freehold.
Sal had a very big heart. He was always helping others and surrounded by friends. He always had a smile on his face, a loving personality, and a deep love of family. Shortly after graduating from high school, he followed his passion in learning a trade. He graduated top of his class from Lincoln Technical Institute, where he made a commencement speech at his graduation. Salvatore was the founder and owner of Temprite, a company that he thoroughly enjoyed.
Salvatore is survived by his parents; his four siblings: Wesley of Scottsdale, AZ, Margie and her husband John Eckhoff of Ellenton, Florida, Amanda and her husband Joseph Agnello of Wall Township, and Joseph and his wife Lauren Sgroi of Colts Neck; and his beloved nieces and nephews: Landon, Lola, Gavin, and Sonny.
A visitation will be held at Holmdel Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 30th from 4-8 pm. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, January 31st at 10 am at St. Mary’s Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. The repast will be at the Sgroi home at 17 Wide Horizons Drive, immediately follow mass until 2 PM and all are welcome. Cremation will be private.
