My Aunt Rita was a dynamic, spirited, loving woman. She inspired so many with her determination, steadfastness and strength. Anyone who knew her can attest to her strong faith , sense of humor and kindness. We will miss her but she is present in all she has touched.

I have so many wonderful memories with Rita, one of my favorites was when We had a bird in my house, she came running over with a fly swatter and stood on the dinning room chair swatting away at the air, which is what i thought, only to find out that leaving the doors open so the bird would fly away, a horsefly came in and she insisted on getting it before it left germs in our home, i stood thdre screaming in fear of this tiny bird and her laughing so hard she almost had to swing off the chandelier trying to balance herself on the chair, lol, after getting the fly and eventually with the help of her husband Andy, the bird flew away and she sat for an hour and laughed at me for being so crazy, afraid of the bird. Another quick story, one day Rita was telling me about the life of Saint Rita, i found it very interesting so she pulled out a dvd of her life, we sat and watched it together enjoying every second of it, unfortunately i never got to finish watching it as i had to take her to the doctor and the dvd disappeared. Oh dear Rita, you were a wonderful, funny, caring, friend. May you rest peacefully in the Lords Arms for all eternity♥️ you will never ever be forgotten

Rita’s family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I went through a similar situation and I was very helped by the hope that I found in the Bible in John 5:28, which says, "Do not amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out". I am sending you a link with more information on this hope. https://www.jw.org/en/publications/magazines/awake-no3-2018-nov-dec/

I first met Rita in 2014 at a assisted living she was staying at and from that time in I grew close to not only her but her daughter Elaine as well. I will remember the times when we would have entertainment at work and she would smile when she saw me dancing. She will truly be missed by many and I know for sure I will miss her as well.

Rita was my Aunt, my Mom's baby Sister and also my Godmother. When I lived in Brooklyn and worked in New York I would have dinner at Aunt Rita's every Tuesday night. I looked forward to her great cooking, fun with my cousins and of course Dessert! Aunt Rita had a very strong personality and when she put her mind to something, no one could stop her. With my Uncle Andy she raised three wonderful Children. She was so very proud of all of them. Frank her oldest is an excellent hockey player, and we'd spend many a cold days watching him play. Ralph her middle son, was quiet, but Rita loved that about him. Elaine the baby of the family and only Daughter is a lot like her Mom. She puts her mind into something, and bam it gets done! I can never forget when Elaine received a piano from her parents for her confirmation, the look and thrill of excitement was overwhelming. Aunt Rita will be missed, but the love will never end. Our family has a close knit bond with each other, and in times such as this, we rally around each other. I will never forget you Aunt Rita, but the Lord will take very good care of you, so I am not worried!

My Mom was ill for as long time. Thank God for my sister and her children. They always cared for her, as they did for my Dad. My Mom fought many battles in her life, and always endured. She was my biggest, and maybe only fan and supporter early on in my hockey playing career. We always battled the naysayers together. She worked always hard , and it was great to see her rise in the business world. She deserved it! She lived longer than many thought she might with the terrible dementia disease...and if it had not been for my sister Elaine, would never have made it this long. She is gone now, and both my sister and I know it is for the best. Love you Mom. Your son, Frank Anzalone.

I first met Rita when I started working at Lehman Brothers in 1976. I was a young brand new secretary and she made me feel so safe and not scared to start a new job. We ate lunch together every day and then I met Elaine. She was a kind and warm and wonderful friend. I feel so blessed to have been her friend. Love, Debbie Ryan
