To the Ciminelli family: I want to tell you how incredibly sorry that I am. I’ve been thinking of Meg and all of you every single day . My daughter Jael, is also very sad about Meg – she actually burst out into tears when I gave her the news. In the very short time that my daughter was able to spend with Meggie in Astoria – she certainly made a huge impact on her. Her great big smile was unforgettable. I think that’s what sticks out most to me. I am glad she is at peace now, and not in any pain. I am still in disbelief and am so very sorry for this tremendous loss. As I always tell Mara, she’s so lucky to have such a big family, especially in a time like this, when support from others means everything. Anyone who was lucky enough to be brought into or included in the Ciminelli family should consider themselves blessed. Meg will always stand out as an honorable representation of what love means. Sweet, supportive and kind. Her smile will carry on throughout the years (Andrew was graced with it) and her actions are etched in stone.
