Margaret Mary Ciminelli, our beloved daughter, sister, niece, aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, godmother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, surrounded by loved ones at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. Meg was born on May 20, 1972, the fifth of ten children. She is survived by her mother and father, Mary Ann and James Ciminelli, and her nine siblings – Mara Ciminelli, Kathleen McCarthy and husband Mike, Jim Ciminelli, Jean Tempone and husband Dan, Patty DeSa and husband Tolson, Jennifer Shelton and husband Brad, Billy Ciminelli and wife Janet, John Ciminelli, Joseph Ciminelli – and fourteen loving nieces and nephews. Meg lived in Astoria, New York. She was a graduate of Queens College with a degree in accounting and worked at Fir Tree Partners in Manhattan as an Assistant Vice President. Meg was vibrant, loving, hardworking, and loyal. She enjoyed spending time and laughing with family. Meg was an avid reader and a great listener. She had a beautiful smile that lit up the room. Meg was famous for her baking, and her truffles, rugelach, and chocolate chip cookies have become a family tradition. Her generous spirit was felt by everyone who knew her. She will be forever remembered. A wake will be held on Friday, September 8 from 2:00 – 4:00PM and 7:00 – 9:00PM at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, New Jersey. A Catholic Mass and Funeral will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 10:00AM at St. Leo the Great Church, 50 Hurleys Lane, Lincroft, New Jersey. Meg will be buried at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 100 Chapel Hill Road, Middletown, New Jersey following the funeral.
