Obituary of Elizabeth A. Cuneo
Elizabeth Ann 'Betty' Lynch Cuneo peacefully entered God's Kingdom on Saturday May 30, 2015 at the age of 73, in her home in Tinton Falls New Jersey. Elizabeth was born on December 3, 1941 in Brooklyn, New York to Lillian and John Lynch. She was raised in Flatbush along with her sister Eileen and John 'Jackie' Lynch. She attended St Thomas Aquinas grade school and graduated Stella Maris High School. In June of 1963 she married Richard Albert Cuneo and moved to Lubbock Texas. As the bride of an Air Force fighter pilot, her days in Lubbock were filled with adventure, as most of their marriage would be for 18 years. Lubbock brought about their first child followed by a short stay in Brooklyn before a move to Belgium where they would enjoy two years of European travel as ExPats for a shipping company. Upon returning to the States they decided to make Monmouth County their home and raise their three daughters, first in Englishtown then Holmdel. Betty taught her daughters the importance physical, mental and spiritual health, so life was never boring in the Cuneo household. There were cookouts on the deck, Easters spent at the Breakers, summers at the beach, winters skiing and endless excursions into Manhattan. Sundays were devoted to going to Mass no matter where the family had traveled. Elizabeth is survived by three daughters Nicole Otto (Kurt) Old Tappan; Danielle of Morristown; Karen Newton (Joe) San Antonio; five grandchildren, Sophia and Kole Otto of Old Tappan, Collin, Kendall and Cameron Newton of San Antonio, Texas; and endless cousins. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Friday 9:15AM at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel.
