Karen, I want to express my heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother. I realize that the situation compounded by the timing is beyond difficult. There is a tradition that a mourner is met by people that just listen. I would come over, give a small knock, enter, and just sit down; waiting for you to speak. We let you talk or not talk; but just be there for you. Maybe it offers you nurturing, strengthening or something else; but most importantly we are there for you. Words cannot be expressed well enough and they often miss the mark, but, right now our family cannot be there to offer our hugs, shared tears, or just our presence. I would offer a small prayer that God comfort you amongst the other mourners. We too are affected by your loss. As your family, we understand, we take care of each other, and are responsible for each other. We are thinking of you and your family, and if there is anything I can do please let me know.
