Sally Ann Darnoi, 71, of Ocean, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 in Colts Neck. Born in Washington, DC, Sally traveled extensively in her youth with her father who was a Foreign Diplomat. Mrs. Darnoi met her husband, Dennis, while attending Immaculata College in Pennsylvania. She was a parishioner and very involved with St. Mary's Church R.C. Church in Colts Neck. Sally moved to Ocean, NJ in 1971 and was a Professor of English at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft. She was predeceased by her parents, Miguel and Amparo Izquierdo, and her husband Dennis Darnoi. Surviving is her son, Dennis Darnoi, and his wife, Elizabeth Giffels, and two grandsons, William Joseph Darnoi and Nicholas Robert Darnoi. Visitation will be held Friday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Route 34 and Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday 9:00AM at St. Mary's R.C. Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holmdel Funeral Home.
