Obituary of John S. Mancuso
World War II Veteran John S. Mancuso, 97, of Middletown passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. John was born in Brooklyn, NY and was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He worked for 18 years as a machinist for Rutgers University in New Brunswick, retiring in 1998. Mr. Mancuso enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Marion Mancuso in 2002, and by 3 brothers and 4 sisters. Surviving are his son John A. Mancuso and his wife Christine of Holmdel, daughter Jan Simmons and her husband Brian of Wall Twp., grandchildren Michael, Matthew, and Alison, and by several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 5:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday 9:15AM at St. Catharine’s R.C. Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Interment will be in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Mr. Mancuso’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
