Obituary of Vita DeMuria
Vita DeMuria, 84, of Holmdel, passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013. Born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, she immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1930. She lived in the New Dorp section of Staten Island, before moving to Holmdel in 2004. She was a parishioner of St. Benedict R.C. Church in Holmdel. Mrs. DeMuria was a homemaker. She was an avid reader, and she loved cooking and entertaining. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the center of her life. She was predeceased by her husband, Anthony, in 2008. She is survived by her sons Anthony of Holmdel, John and his wife Carol of Holmdel, and Robert and his wife Francine of Hazlet, her grandchildren Jonathan, Alexandria, Daniel, Bryan, Nicholas, William, and Lauren, and her sister Marion Galante of Holmdel. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, on Sunday Sept. 15th from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Monday at 10:00AM at St. Benedict R.C. Church, 165 – Bethany Road, Holmdel. Entombment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
