Obituary of Napoleon E. Giannattasio
February 1956 - July 1988 Napoleon E. Giannattasio, 89, of Marlboro passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. 'Gino', born in Brooklyn, NY raised his family there until moving to New Jersey 15 years ago. A Navy veteran of WWII, Mr. Giannattasio was a member of the New York City Police Department from February 1956 until July 1988 where he worked as a Patrolman proudly serving his beloved Brooklyn. He was elected and re-elected as a delegate for the Policeman Benevolent Association for over 20 consecutive years. He was predeceased by his sister Theresa Giannattasio. Surviving are his wife Lydia, his five children Edward and his wife Susan, Michael and his wife Maria, Allie and his wife Gina, Mary Fox and her husband Matthew, and Carol Gallo and her husband Dominick, sister Grace Mazzola, brother Anthony, his 11 grandchildren Alex, Kevin, Amanda, Danielle, Nicole, Kristen, Ryan, Elizabeth, Edward, Catrina, and Lydia. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 10:00AM at St. Gabriel Historic R.C. Church 549 County Road 520, Marlboro, NJ. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery.
