For over twenty five years he made many noteworthy and recognizable contributions in lab research and retired as Supervisor of the Research Lab Facility in 1992. Edward was predeceased by his loving wife Theresa of over 53 years, in 2007, and his only son Michael, in 2009, a former Captain for US Airways. Also predeceased in death by his parents Patrick and Victoria, sisters Rosemary and Katharine, brothers Robert, Jack and Joseph and survived by his sister, Edna Gately of Howell, NJ.
