Gilda Braunstein passed away early the morning of June 23rd survived by her 3 children Adam Braunstein and wife Jodi, Charles Braunstein and wife Alison, and Lis Ryan and husband Patrick. In addition her seven grandchildren Jessica, Melisa, Stephen, Sara, Michael, Jack and Rebecca. She was well educated, achieving a Bachelor Degree from SUNY Cortland and a Masters Degree in Education from Ithaca College. A retired physical education teacher in Colts Neck, NJ. Her students would know her as Mrs. B. As her children, we would always receive accolades from her former students on how she drove confidence and fun into their life. She touched everybody that knew her, full of life, energy, and character. Gilda was an accomplished tennis, golf and bridge player. She enjoyed these activities with her numerous friends and loved to be social. She loved the outdoors as well as the beach. She always played cards and games with her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. She also was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. The family will be receiving friends today from 9:30AM until the service at 10:30AM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Interment will be in the New Montefiore Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
