To the Lesch Family, I only just heard the shocking news about Vince's passing. I had the privilege of working for Vince at Lucent. I will always remember his deep-seated integrity, compassion, dedication, sense of humor, intuitiveness and intelligence. But most of all, how frequently and well he spoke of his beloved family and how much he enjoyed being a father and husband. Please know that you were truly cherished.

Dear Lesch Family, My deepest condolences to you during this difficult time. Vinny was a good friend of mine during our years together at Indian Hills High School and I was glad to reconnect with him at our reunion not long after he relocated back to New Jersey. What amazed me about Vin was how even in our teenage years he always made the "right" choices and was a man of principle. More importantly, he never passed judgement on those (including myself) who didn't always make the right choices. He will be missed but definitely not forgotten as he has been such a positive influence on those who had the pleasure to know him.

Dear Lesch family: A shudder of sadness went through me when I heard of Vinny's death. I was a classmate of Vinny's from Colonial Road through Indian Hills. We shared a birth date, and I have a wealth of memories of him: Smartest boy in the class, hard worker, tough, stood up to bullies...Two Colonial Road School memories come back to me as if they were yesterday: He had abdominal muscles like steel, and I recall him challenging kids to punch him as hard as they could..No one could cause him to flinch. The second is the time he convinced me - by the sheer force of his logic and conviction -to completely change my mind on an important social issue of the time. Needless to say, much respect for him, and all condolences to his family.

The Lesch Family, Elena and I send our deepest condolences to you. I was Vince's first employee at Tekelec and Vince and I worked closely together until I left the company in July. We had Vince over to our home and Vince and I sometimes went out for dinner and a beer. I looked to Vince as a mentor and also as a friend. Vince's passing is a tragic loss for all those who knew him. God bless Vince and all those who knew and loved him. With deepest sympathies, Steve and Elena

Dear Eileen and Family, I was bowled over when I heard the news. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Vincent. I too was a neighborhood friend who also played soccer alongside Vince, as my younger brother stated. I schooled with Patricia and was fortunate to have Vincent’s Father as ‘the coolest’ CCD teacher I ever had. I will remember him as a great guy, unwavering and someone you looked up to. He will truly be missed. My condolences to you and the family as well as everyone Vince touched. Robert Birrer

Dear Eileen and the entire Lesch Family, I am saddened to hear about Vince. I was a friend and classmate from grade school through High School. We played soccer on the FL Vikings for years and did many other things together. Vinny always stood up for what was right and I remember more than once holding his glasses for him when he was forced to show some bully why it was unwise to pick on him. Vinny always did what was true and right and he always had a smile for you. Although I did not stay in touch I still have fond memories of a good man and he will be missed but he is in a good place now. Love to the family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Greg Birrer

My deepest sympathy to the Lesch family. I worked with Vince for 3 years; he was one of the most caring managers I worked with. His sense of humor made anyone's day! He was a family man and always spoke about his wonderful kids and wife. I will always cherish our long conversations as his perspectives and vision always made me see things in a different light. He will be deeply missed but his memories will live with us.

Dear Eileen and the Lesch family, I am greatly saddened to learn of the passing of Vincent. I attended the University of Pennsylvania with Vince and came to know him very well as a good friend and a very good person. It is not surprising to me that Vince had accomplished so much and was blessed with such a wonderful family. If you knew Vince, you could not have missed his personal standards which were clear to have been founded in his Faith.

Dear Eileen and family, I am so sorry for your loss. It is such a tragedy that Vincent had to depart so early in his life. I hope you realize how fortunate he was to have such a wonderful and loving family. Please take all the time you need, Eileen. You take care of yourself, and we'll make sure your other kids, the 8th grade students of Markham, are well taken care of during your absence. We shall miss you. Wishing your family all the best, ~Kristen Berube

My best wishes to Eileen and the Lesch family. I can scarce believe Vince is gone - I remember a brilliant classmate at Penn who had an excellent grasp on the most difficult engineering material. Vince and I played soccer together, were dorm mates together, and even water skiied together at his family's lake house - what a grand time that was. After college I knew Vince as a hard working and bright engineer with a head for business - whether at Lucent or at a start-up -- the type that the American IT industry relies upon to build the products and services that make America the envy of the IT world. But I'm sure Vince would be most proud of his remarkable family. What a beautiful family he had. I was priviledged to know Vince and take solace in the fact that I'm sure Vince is watching us now (and of course he's just as industrious as ever) advocating for all of us who enjoyed working with him or just knowing him while he was alive.

Vincent and I were classmates at Penn, where we met as freshmen living in Van Pelt College House. We also briefly participated in the freshman fencing program--he choosing epee and I the saber. Very intelligent, humble and decent man. May the Lesch family take great comfort in the knowlegdge that Vincent was so highly regarded by those who knew him. Bless you, and rest in peace, Vince.
