Chester Joseph Buczynski 85, of Holmdel passed Sunday, November 25, 2012 at home. Born in Bayonne, he moved to Holmdel 53 years ago. Chester attended Bayonne Schools and Seton Hall University, and was employed by the Middletown Board of Education as Chief Accountant. Mr. Buczynski was a WWII Veteran, having served in the Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was a parishioner of St. Benedict R.C. Church. He enjoyed farming, boating, camping, and being outdoors maintaining his property. He was predeceased by his sisters Irene Nadolny, and Helen Fagan. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Helen Buczynski, children Judith Pingitore and her husband Joie, and Mark Buczynski and his wife Bette, grandchildren Jessica, Alison, Corinne, and Lena Pingitore, Marisa Keany and her husband Ryan, Brian Buczynski, and Philip Onofrio, and also many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday 10:30AM at St. Benedict R.C. Church 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery.
