William E. Huntley, 80, of Colts Neck, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Care One in Holmdel. Mr. Huntley was formerly a Case Manager with the Internal Revenue Service in Mountainside, NJ. Subsequently he was a Professor of Accounting at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ. He held a BS and Masters Degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University In West Orange, NJ. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War serving with the 7th Infantry Regiment. He was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and was a recipient of Purple Heart. He was very proud of his service to his country. He was a parishioner of St. Marys R.C.Church of Colts Neck, a member of Officers Club at Ft. Monmouth, an avid golfer, and a member of Sun Eagles Golf Course. He enjoyed travelling with his wife, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was born in Orange, NJ and lived in Springfield NJ before moving to Colts Neck 44 years ago.. Mr. Huntley was predeceased by his wife Helen in 2005, and a daughter Kathleen Huntley in 1963. He is survived by his son William J. Huntley and his wife Wendy of Colts Neck, NJ, and two grandchildren William and Mary Margaret Huntley. Visitation will be on Monday April 25, 2011 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 -South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 AM on Tuesday at St. Marys R.C.Church , Highway 34 at Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Interment will then follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair, NJ.
