Margaret McGeough Ahlemeyer, 98, of Lakewood passed away on Wednesday morning, July 18th, 2012. Born in South Dakota, Margaret lived in California before moving to New Jersey, where she lived in Jersey City and then Aberdeen for many years before moving to Lakewood nine years ago. She was a retired Realtor, and an Antiques dealer. Margaret attended the Willis Santa Monica Business College in California. Later in her 70's, she graduated from Brookdale Community College in 1983 with an Associate of Arts Degree. She was predeceased by her husband Vincent J. Ahlemeyer, Jr. in 2003, brothers John and Morris McGeough, sisters Lillian Palmer, Leona Adams, and Beatrice Higgins, and a granddaughter Janeen McGarry. She is survived by her sons Vincent Ahlemeyer, III of Aberdeen, and William Ahlemeyer of Hadley, MA, daughters Donna Ahlemeyer of Howell, and Janet Craggan of Lakewood, brother Bernard McGeough, sister Phyllis Devereux, grandchildren Brian, Lisa Marie, Christopher, Kristin and Ashley, great grandchildren Jackson and Charles, and god daughter Barbara Ann Reiman. Visitation Sunday July 22nd from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. Mass of Christian burial will be offered Monday 10:00AM at St. Benedict R.C. Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Entombment to follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
