Obituary of Virginia Weakley
Virginia Weakley of Lavallette NJ passed away peacefully on Aug 14, 2013. She was 91 years old. Virginia was born on December 5th 1921 in Orange NJ to Lawrence and Mary Farley. She lived her young life in Orange where she met and married Jack Weakley. They were happily married for 51 years. She raised her family in West Orange and lived in Lavallette for the past 30 years. She was a strong and independent woman with an infectious smile who worked all of her life, for many of those years at Royal Globe Insurance Company in East Orange. Virginia was devoted to her catholic faith. She was a member of the Rosary Societies at Our Lady of the Valley in Orange and Padre Pio in Lavellette as well as the Catholic Daughters. She was predeceased by her husband Jack, sisters Mary Brady and Jane Farley and her brother John Farley. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Walsh of Hazlet and her two sons and daughters-in law Jack and Pat Weakley of Middletown and Bob and Peg Weakley of Mountainside as well as all of her grandchildren Katie, Sean, Bridgid (Tom), Brendan , Tom and Maureen Throughout her life she carefully attended to her family. She instilled virtues of honesty, hard work and fair play and she was devoted to her six grandchildren. She was always there for them and they loved to visit her at the shore, enjoying many fun times at the beach, going for ice-cream or just sitting around talking Virginia was a selfless person who will be remembered for her many kind deeds to family and friends alike. When she saw you she always made you feel welcome and happy. She loved a good story, enjoyed a good laugh and had a good long life. She will be sorely missed.
