Obituary of Captain James F. Haley
Knight of Columbus CAPTAIN JAMES F. HALEY, 89, formerly of STATEN ISLAND, , passed away on Sunday, Oct. 12th, at the Renaissance Gardens at Seabrook Village in Tinton Falls, NJ. During World War II, he served his country in the U.S.Army. Before retiring, Captain Haley was a Harbor Pilot, and a member of the New York Sandy Hook Pilots Association. As hobbies, he enjoyed photography and golf. He was a member of the American Legion, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Assumption Council, Staten Island. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Helen Newman Haley, , his daughter Anne-Marie and her husband James Bowden of Holmdel, daughter Ellen Kelly of Holmdel, his son James and his wife Janet of Middletown, N.J., his grandchildren J.Brian, Christine, and Daniel Bowden, Kevin and Kaitlyn Kelly, and Megan, Kerry, and James Haley, a brother Harry Haley of Forked River , and a sister, Sister Cecilia (Catherine) Haley, SC.
