Obituary of Albert DeDea
Albert DeDea, of Marlboro, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014, after a mighty fight against cancer. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Albert worked in New York City as a printer. He was a Navy Veteran having served from 1957-1959. Al enjoyed life and lived each day to the fullest. He always said 'never sweat the unimportant things in life'. He loved the outdoors, especially pool volleyball. You could always find him tinkering around the house listening to Julio Iglesias's 'For All The Girls'. His greatest love was his family, especially his 5 grandchildren. Al had a heart of kindness that touched so many people. Surviving are his wife Madeline DeDea, his daughters Debra DeDea and her husband Howard Bernstein, Lisa DeDea and her husband Kenneth Martinez, and Denise McCarthy and her husband James McCarthy, and his grandchildren Alec, Marin, Peter, Madeline, and James. Visitation will be on Friday, June 6 from 2pm-4pm and 7pm-9pm at Holmdel Funeral Home - 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, June 7 at 9:30 am at St. Gabriel's R.C. Church - 100 North Main Street, Marlboro, NJ. Interment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery - 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ. To honor Al DeDea contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society, P. O.
