Michael Raccioppi, 74, of Cliffwood, Aberdeen, died Saturday, Sept. 27. Born in Jersey City, Michael lived in Hudson County until he was called up to duty in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1954. He served two years until his release in 1956 and received the National Defense Service Medal. He returned to New Jersey and worked as a mechanic for many years at Propack Co., Englewood until he retired several years ago. He was a member of the VFW Rochelle Park Post. He was predeceased by two sisters, Lena Borrelli and Susan Petrosino. Surviving are his loving companion, Maureen Murphy; his devoted children, Michael, Joseph and Gerard Raccioppi, Laurie Margo, and Janice Hero; a sister, Rose Lamendola; and 11 grandchildren.
