It's Christmastime 2018. Merry Christmas Chuck! Christmas is totally different from the way it was when you were last here in 2012. With people passing, people aging and families expanding, the whole Christmas Eve, Christmas celebration is not at all the way you would remember it. It's still Christ birthday and Andy, Johnny and Bing are still singing strong but the rest will never be the same. Merry Christmas brother, I'll see you soon. Love, Jim

Hey Bro, It’s December 25, 2017 and everybody here is going crazy. The kids are going crazy for each new toy and electronic gadgit they want ,,.., and the adults are going crazy trying to make sure they get each new toy and electronic gadgit that their kids want. Chuck, We celebrated Christmas like we have in the past. Christmas Eve at Mom's, the family get together, luminary candles, Santa's visit, the grab bag, Clarence getting his wings. Christmas morning was great with the kids opening their gifts, then the big family Christmas dinner. This was your element. You were always all over this stuff. I could go on but I just want to say we missed you. I missed you. Even though you were there in spirit, it was not the same without you. You were everywhere! You are so missed. Merry Christmas Chuck. Merry Christmas Chuck! Buon Natale! Feliz Navidad! No matter how you say it, "it's the best time of the year". Here, everybody's in a hurry; getting the tree decorated, burning the Christmas cookies, running to toys-r-us, ... but we still listen to Johnny, Perry and Bing sing their hearts out. You gotta love it! And I know you did Chuck. How are things with you? I bet they really know how to celebrate Christmas up there. Angels singing and Cherubs playing the harp? All the sausage bread, pearl onions, pigs-in-a-blanket you can eat, and tripe ... just the way you like it(?). This is the second Christmas you've been gone. You are always on our mind, always in our thoughts and always in our heart's. We will continue to celebrate Christmas and you and Dad will always be a big part of that celebration. Dear Aunt Laurie, Karen, Jim, Laurie and the rest of the family. It was with great sadness that I have learned of Chuck's illness and passing. I am sorry that I was not there to share his last days, nor to be a source of comfort to those who are grieving. Please know that I share the utmost sadness at our loss. Chuck was a great cousin, friend, son, father, and more. My memories of him are many. They were always happy ones.. My travels have taken me away from my roots, and my hometown is not a place I visit often, but even through great distances, I have never forgot who I am, nor the love I have for the David family. Chuck will surely be missed. My heart is heavy knowing he has passed. But I rejoice in knowing that he is now with Uncle Charlie, Beep, Nana and Pop Pop, and all the other family members who have passed over. I am comforted by their unity in heaven. Chuck, I remember so many things. A lifetime of family ...... filled with so many smiles, so many good times and so much laughter. I remember both the little boy inside the man who loved the Giants, the Mets and wiffle ball and the family man who so loved his wife Lori and his daughter Kelly and his son Sean. I remember so many things. And all of a sudden, from out of nowhere, you were forced into the fight of your life. And you fought as hard as anyone could fight. Against all odds you kept your quick wit, your dry sense of humor, your concern for others and your dignity ..... and I was never more proud to be your brother. Out of site, out of mind .... Never! Five year's gone Chuck. Five years today. 1825 days. On one hand, the time has passed so quickly; yet on the other, it's been a slow durge of missing my brother. Missing your giving spirit, your wit, your humor, your kinship and your kindness. But it is a fifth "anniversary" so I will celebrate you with Bushmills on the rocks, a corned beef sandwich and a few words that are appropriate between us: "It broke my heart to lose you, but you didn't go alone, a part of me went with you, the day God took you home". Hello Chuck. It's Birthday time for you again. The days keep flying by and you would be 58 years old tomorrow if you were still here with us.
