Leo (Lee) Edward Yori, Sr., age 74, of Holmdel passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012. He was born in Freeland, PA and moved to Cranford, NJ. He had lived in Holmdel for the last 50 years. Lee graduated from Cranford High School and Newark College of Engineering. Prior to his career with the phone company, he joined the Navy where he enjoyed seeing the world on the USS Salem. He then worked for Bell Telephone as a draftsman and completed his career in management with Verizon. Lee was a member of St. Catharine's Church, served on the Holmdel Zoning Board, and was a member of the Board of Directors for the Bayshore Health Care System, serving as treasurer. He was an active participant in the Bridges Program for many years and will be missed by all those he touched. Lee was predeceased by his father, Leo August Yori, his son, Leo Yori Jr. and his brother, James Yori. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Mary Ann (nee Genovese), his son Gregory and his wife Jennifer and four wonderful grandchildren, Christina, Jessica, Max and Hayden. Also surviving are his mother Cassie and his sister Mary Jean and her family. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3rd, 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, April 4th at St. Catharine's Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel at 9:15 AM. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Bridges Program. Donations can be mailed to the Holmdel Community Church, 40 Main Street, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
