Obituary of Catherine D. Koleniak

Catherine D. Koleniak 88, of Holmdel passed away Monday, June 10, 2013 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in New York, NY Catherine lived in the Todt Hill section of Staten Island prior to moving to Holmdel in 1984. Mrs. Koleniak traveled with her husband extensively throughout the world. She was a lover of the arts, theatre, music, and fashion. Catherine was also a collector of antiques and enjoyed fine interior design. Family meant everything to her and she was extraordinarily devoted to her entire family. She was predeceased by her sisters Rosemarie Turley, Eleanor Berry, and Joan Koch, and brother James Quigley. Surviving are her husband of 68 years William Koleniak, 2 sons Michael Koleniak, and Gregg Koleniak and his wife Elizabeth, 5 daughters Jeanne Burns, Barbara Gignoux and her husband John, Donna Icovino and her husband Michael, Denise Wigdor and her husband Michael, and Linda Dolan and her husband Raymond, 2 sisters Marion Valle and Eileen Uribe, 19 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 to 9:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday 9:15AM at St. Catharine’s R.C. Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Nassau Suffolk Services for Autism The Martin C. Barell School, 80 Hauppauge Road, Commack, NY 11725 or to Bancroft 425 Kings Hwy E, Haddonfield, NJ 08033 a non-profit organization serving people with special needs.
