Obituary of Rose Fauci
Rose Fauci, 92, of Middletown passed away at her residence on Wednesday morning, August 13, 2014. Born in West Hoboken, Rose was a daughter to Concetta and Thomas De Gregorio and loyal sister to Lena, Dominic, Jimmy and Mike. A lover of learning, she graduated valedictorian of her class. Soon after in 1941, Rose met her soul mate, Salvatore Fauci and they enjoyed 71 years of marriage. Together, they lived in Brooklyn, N.Y. raising a family before moving to Middletown, N.J. 26 years ago. Rose was a warm, caring and devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her life was defined by family values and faith in God. Rose had a quiet, charming elegance and a passion for the simple things in life - reading, gardening, cooking Italian meals and conversing with good people. She was a beautiful and kind-hearted woman who enriched the lives of those all around her. We will miss our sweet Rose. She is survived by her daughter, Linda DiMare; her sons, Thomas and his wife Linda, James and his wife Carol; the Masella nephews and families, her six grandchildren, Robert, Christopher, Joseph, Christian, Danielle and Justin, and by her five great grandchildren, Nicholas, Logan, Luca, Leonardo and Mateo. We were blessed with an abundance of Rose's love and wisdom and she will always be remembered. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home - 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel, N.J. on Friday August 15th 2014 from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday August 16th at 9:15am at St. Catharine's R. C. Church 108 Middletown Rd., Holmdel, N.J. Entombment will then follow at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, Holmdel. Donations may be made in her memory to the St. Jude Children's Hospital – P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, T.N. 38148.
