Obituary of Andrew P. Anzalone
Korean War Veteran Andrew P. Anzalone, 85, of Toms River passed away Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn, NY Andrew lived in Bensonhurst prior to moving to Toms River, NJ. Mr. Anzalone was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War, and worked as a construction worker for Local 94 in Brooklyn, NY. With his gentle heart, his simple joy was his family and being with his grandchildren. His sweet heart will be missed. Andrew was predeceased by his sisters Angelina Imbriano, Phyllis Santo, and Rose Patinella. Surviving are his wife of 63 years Rita Anzalone, sons Frank and Ralph Anzalone, daughter Elaine Anzalone-Goumas, sisters Frances Geraci, and Mary Gambino, a brother Dominick Anzalone, and his grandchildren Francis, Christina, Andrew, and Lucia. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Monday 11:30AM at St. Catharine's R.C. Church 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Entombment will be at St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro.
