James U. Lupton, 84, of Hazlet passes away Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. Born in Jersey City, James lived most his life in Hazlet. Mr. Lupton worked as an Import / Export Supervisor for Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick. James served in the Marine Corps Reserves prior to serving in the Army during the Korean War with the 101st Airborne Division / Screaming Eagles. Mr. Lupton was predeceased by his wife Emily Lupton in 1993 and his granddaughter Amanda Lupton. Surviving are his children James Lupton, Gary Lupton and his wife Barbara, Susan Luccarelli and her husband Frank, and Jeffrey Lupton and his wife Anne, his sister Helen MacAffee, his 9 grandchildren Darrin, Tyler, Andrew, Nicole, Emily, Natalie, Elise, Molly, and Jeffrey, and his great granddaughter Hailey. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A funeral service will be offered in the funeral home on Monday at 10:30AM. Interment will be in Shoreland Memorial Gardens, Hazlet. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in his name to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148.
