Marie S. Schmidt 68, of Holmdel passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Sebring, FL Marie lived in Belleville for many years before moving to Toms River and then Holmdel. Prior to her retirement, Mrs. Schmidt worked as a Secretary for the Rutgers School of Pharmacy in Newark. She was also a parishioner of the Living Word Baptist Church. She was predeceased by her brother David Emery. Surviving are her son James Schmidt and his wife Kari of Holmdel, daughter Renee Kenawy and her husband Mohamed of Alexandria, Egypt, brothers Henry Emery and his wife Mary of Florida, William Emery and his wife Carolyn of California, and Frank Emery and his wife Lynn of Ohio, 5 grandchildren, and 6 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel from 2 to 5 PM. A funeral service will be offered at the funeral home on Monday at 10:00AM. Interment will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton.
