Frank M. Yates, 85, of Colts Neck passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Paterson, NJ Frank lived in Brick Township before moving to Colts Neck in 1969. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for ITT in New York, NY. Mr. Yates was a Navy Veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Colts Neck First Aid Squad, a member of the Colts Neck Senior Citizens, and traveled all around the world with his wife Joan. He was a loving and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was predeceased by his son-in-law Birj Deckmejian. Surviving are his wife Joan Yates, his children Mark Yates (Susanne), Jeffrey Yates, Lisa Deckmejian, David Yates (Michelle), his sisters Florence Flanagan (Peter) and Joyce Cesar (Jack), his 8 grandchildren Kimberly Hess (Jon), Tyler Yates, Erice Yates, Rochelle Yates, Patrick Yates, Nicholas Deckmejian, Allison Yates, and Emily Yates, his 2 great grandchildren Andrew and Kinley, and his 9 nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday 10:00AM at St. Benedict R.C. Church 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel. Entombment will be in the Holmdel Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in his name to either the Colts Neck First Aid Squad, the Monmouth County Food Bank, or the wounded Warrior Project.
