Machi (nee Dunnachie) passed away at the age of 77 on Sunday at home. Born and raised in Kearny, she lived in Colts Neck. Caroline married Leonard R. Machi in 1953 and became a loving wife and mother. After raising her children she worked for Bell Labs, Holmdel with the administration staff. Caroline enjoyed knitting many a baby sweater for family and friends and crocheting angels for holidays. She was also known for her wonderful homemade biscotti and other baked goods. Caroline walked at the Brookdale Community College track and the Boardwalk at Ocean Grove accompanied by her daughter. A lover of pets, she also spent time taking care of her son's family cats and her daughter's dog Layla. She was predeceased by her husband and is survived by her son, Norman Machi, and his wife Robin, daughter, Carol Murphy, and her husband Larry, and two grandchildren, Lauren and Daniel Murphy of Little Silver.
