Dearest Patty, Wendy, Jon, Jennifer, and Lori, My deepest condolences to all of you. I vividly remember meeting Spencer as a little kid, when Rocky Top was under construction. We were so excited to hear that Wendy and Jon were Sandy's and my age and were part of the package! Drew was a baby and Jen you were a baby bump and Lori, just a twinkle in their eyes!
As long as one knows this deep a loss is coming, it is still so painful when it happens. My heart goes out to all of you. Your father lead a well-lived life. Family, friends,career, golf, planes, skiing, travel---he knew how to do it right! My fondness for him always ran deep--and the warmth I guess I associated with his name lead me to my naming my youngest Spencer--who happens to be off to law school next week!
