Obituary of Ann Misericordia

Ann Misericordia,90, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020.  Born in New York, N.Y. Ann lived in Brooklyn prior to moving to New Jersey.  Prior to her retirement, she was an administrative assistant for a law firm in Manhattan.

She was an avid reader and probably had read dozens if not hundreds of books. She also loved bowling with her husband Anthony “Tony Miz” on Sunday night bowling leagues in Brooklyn. Ann was a loving and devoted mother, and grandmother who cherished the times that she could be surrounded by her children and grandchildren, especially for Sunday and holiday dinners. In addition to her close family, she also was blessed with many loving relatives and friends as well.

Ann was predeceased by her loving husband Tony, by her son Leonard, and recently by her daughter MaryAnn Gerahty, and by several brothers and by her sister.  She is survived by her children; Toni Monticciolo and her husband Richard of Holmdel, Cindy Emma and her husband Michael of Aberdeen, a daughter in law Grace Misericordia of Parlin, a son in law James Gerahty of Manalapan, by her 12 grandchildren, her 5 great grandchildren with her 6th great grandchild due to be born any day now, and by her brother Joseph Savia and his wife Angela in Florida, and by many nieces and nephews.

Ann will be remembered lovingly and fondly by all her family and by those who had the priviledge of knowing her over these many years.

Let us pray that she is enjoying her eternal reward in the Kingdom of Heaven, especially with her husband, her son Leonard, her daughter MaryAnn, and all of her friends and relatives who had gone before her. May she rest in God’s peace!

A private graveside service will be offered for Ann and she will be interred along side her beloved husband, Tony at St. Gabriel Cemetery in Marlboro, New Jersey.
