Obituary of Frederick J. Doennecke

Frederick John Doennecke, 76, of Holmdel passed away on Monday, January 13th.

He was born in Queens, NY in 1943 where he spent his childhood. Frederick went on to graduate high school, earn a bachelor’s degree from Hofstra, became a CPA and serve his country in the Army during the Vietnam War.

If you knew him, you loved him. Fred was one of a kind. He had a huge personality and a heart of gold. He always put his family first, and would drop anything to help anyone who needed it. He loved music, a good book and a poker game. 

He is predeceased by his parents Fred and Mary Possert Doennecke.

Surviving is his wife Cathy and daughter, Stephanie Doennecke, of Holmdel and sister Marianne Mangels of Hackettstown. 

Visitation Friday, January 17th from 4 PM to 8 PM at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 S. Holmdel Road, Holmdel, 07733.
