Schurl I visited you several times in your House in colts neck, NJ when I was in NYC. I met your wife and your dog - and at least you where alone in the house with the big garden, pool and glasshouse. We where together in an „Austrian abroad“ Internet-chatgroup. I worked also at Siemens Austria and in Electronics - but some years later after War - so times where better than. RIP from Klosterneuburg - Austria.

After college in 1961 I immediately started working in the Hexagon at Ft Monmouth where Josef was one of the established engineers. I worked in the Combat Area Branch of the Transmission Division. I can remember many instances where I had discussions with Josef. He was always helpful, patient and supportive; I remember him as a gentle person. I moved to other areas of the Fort in 1967 and lost contact with most of the group. I retired from there in 1996. Please accept my sincere sympathy and know Josef had a very positive effect on a young engineer many years ago.

I worked with Joe during the 1980s at the Evans Area Ft. Monmouth on the Regency Net project. Several fond memories of working around Joe. He was a man (engineer) who do anything he put his mind to. A man with keen insite on life and most importantly, a great sense of humor. I remember him well. RIP
