Obituary of Rachel "Aunt Rachel" Stanco

Rachel B. Stanco, 97, of Colts Neck passed away at her home on Friday, November 15, 2019.

Born in Newark, NJ she lived in the Vailsburg neighborhood of Newark prior to her marriage.  After her marriage to her husband Antonio, they resided in Roseland, NJ. After the death of her husband Rachel settled in Colts Neck where she lived with her brother Paul and his wife Joyce.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in East Orange. Rachel was a parishioner of the Church of St. Mary in Colts Neck and was a member of the Colts Neck Senior Citizens.  Her hobby, which she enjoyed very much was to play cards on Thursdays at the Colts Neck Library.

Rachel was predeceased by her loving husband Antonio in 2001.  She is survived by her brother the Honorable Paul Daniele, a retired Deacon of the Church of St. Mary in Colts Neck, and by his wife Joyce, by her nephews Vincent Amato, Paul Daniele 3rd, and Marc Daniele, by her nieces Rosemary Porreca, Linda Amato, Paula Amato, and Barbara Fernandes, and by many grand nieces and nephews, and great grandnieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday November 19, 2019 at the Church of St. Mary, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck, NJ from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at the Church on Wednesday morning November 20, 2019 at 9:00 AM.  Entombment will then follow at the Gate of Heaven Mausoleum, East Hanover, NJ.
