Obituary of Mildred Warnock
Wonderful, Wise, Loving, Giving, Selfless, Woman. So honored to call her Mom, Grandmom, GG, Aunt, and Friend.
On October 29th, 2019, at the age of 89, God called Millie home to join her beloved husband Jim.
Mildred Abbatemarco was born on February 27, 1930 in Red Bank, NJ. She married James Warnock on October 4, 1953. Together they built their home and raised a family in Holmdel, where she lived most of her life. She was active in the auxiliary for Bayshore Community Hospital, was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, and worked in the Holmdel School District. She enjoyed travelling with the Holmdel Seniors before moving to Bella Terra in Jackson seven years ago. Not only was she an involved member in the Association of Belle Terra, she welcomed new residents, assisted with the twice weekly ministry services, was an avid card and game player, and loved to read.
She loved her four children and their spouses deeply and didn’t hesitate to say or show it. She leaves behind Christa and Bob Kinkade of Mount Joy, PA., Pat and Vicki Warnock of Freehold, Nora and Gus Lebois of Salisbury, MD., and Jim and Liz Warnock of Freehold. She was blessed with ten grandchildren and welcomed their spouses as one of her own: Christopher and Carolyn, Evan and Lauren, Stephen and Greta (fiancée) Ryan and Erin, Jessica and Stephen, Thomas George, James (d.2007), Michael and Danielle, Victor, Thomas Addison. She was further blessed with eight great grandchildren that she equally adored Raymond, John, Louis, Estella, Charlotte, Clara, James and Zofia.
Millie….a woman who always put others first, always giving even if she did not have. There was always enough food for one more mouth, another bed for an unexpected guest, an extra $5.00 for someone in need, an ear to listen and a hand to hold, advice given only if asked. We will all miss your words of wisdom, your hugs, the laughter and tears, and holding your hand. We love you Mom!!
Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Friday November 1st, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday November 2nd at 11:30 AM at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 108 Middletown Road, Holmdel. Interment will then follow at St. Gabriel Cemetery, Marlboro.
A donation may be made in her memory to CHOP – The Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia, at chop.edu/giving.
