Obituary of Rose Licari

In loving memory of Rose Licari, 92, who passed away on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019 at Riverview Medical Center. Born in New York, N.Y. She was a long time resident of the Hazlet/Holmdel Area.

Rose was a loving wife to her husband Anthony, a loving mother to her 3 children. Nothing made Rose happier than the time she spent with her family. She was known as the “Bagel Lady” at St. Benedict’s School for many years. Rumor has it that she didn’t make any money because she would help the kids who forgot their lunch money. Rose also enjoyed playing cards, going to Atlantic City and shopping. 

Predeceased by her husband Anthony in 2006, she is survived by her son Leonard Licari and his wife Jeanie of Manhasset, NY, her daughter Joann Sabatino of Holmdel, NJ, her son Joseph Licari and his wife René of Middletown, NJ, 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren. 

She will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation will be on Friday October 11th, 2019 from 3:00 to 9:00 pm at Holmdel Funeral Home, 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel N.J. A Funeral Mass will be offered for Rose on Saturday October 12th, 2019 am at St. Benedict R.C. Church, 165 Bethany Rd., Holmdel, NJ at 9:00 am. Entombment will be at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, Holmdel.
