To Joanie, Michael, and Susan, Please accept our condolences on the death of your father, our upstairs neighbor George.
We know it is his birthday today when he would have turned 96. He certainly made the most of his years on this earth, and he created a noteworthy legacy of service to his country, his worplace at Bell Labs, his Colts Neck community, and most especially to his family. Occasionally, we ate dinner with your Dad at the Fireside reastaurant here at Seabrook, and we used to tease him because he was so taciturn. One time we said to him: "Well,George, it sure has been nice having a meal with you tonight, but maybe next time, you won't talk so much!" He laughed out loud!
We know your father (and your mother before him) liked to watch the birds in the tree right below their second-floor window, so we made a consistent effort (along with your seed gifts) to keep the suet feeders and the hummingbird sugar-water bottle filled up every day. We hope that gave your Dad pleasure.
We are expressing our sympathy to you and your entire large (and growing!) family. We will remember your father.
Sincerely, Diane Curley and Susan Waters 119 Sandy Cove @ Seabrook Village
