Obituary of Christian Lee McCarty
Christian Lee McCarty, 49, of Winter Garden, FL passed away Sunday June 30, 2019.
Born in Columbia, SC, Christian graduated from Georgia Southern University then attained his MBA from The University of Georgia. Christian was a computer guru, building his first computer at age 14. He met his wife, Kara, while working for a tech company. Christian was a loyal and dedicated employee at Apprio, Inc., where he helped grow a small start-up business into a large national organization.
Christian and Kara’s 17 year marriage took them from Georgia to Virginia to Florida. However, the best journey was made in 2008 when Christian and Kara travelled to China to adopt their first child Grace. In 2011 and 2012, God blessed Christian and Kara with two more children, Josh and Caroline. Christian’s greatest pleasure in life was being a dad. He loved giving the kids simple pleasures like games, scavenger hunts and obstacle courses. He was incredibly proud of the kids and loved to support their sports and activities.
Surviving is his wife Kara Marie, his children Grace Elizabeth, Joshua Lee & Caroline Mei; his father Philip McCarty & his wife Colleen, Norristown, PA; his mother JoAnn Landry & her husband Michael, Raleigh, NC; his mother-in-law & father-in-law Frances & Robert Manning; his grandmother Florence Gerrard, Hiawassee, GA, and his siblings Julianna & Michael Spadacino, Kate & Christopher Sgambati, Molly & Ahrash Farhangi and Ned & Rosy Alexander as well as several nieces and nephews whom he adored.
