Obituary of Charles Cassidy
Charles Cassidy, 72, of Aberdeen passed away on March 11, 2012. Charles was born on March 14, 1939 in Manhattan and raised in the Bronx, New York where he graduated from St. Simon Stock High School. In 1966, Charles, his wife Ann and their children moved to Matawan, New Jersey. He worked as a supervisor for the United States Postal Service for twenty three years before retiring in 2001. He was predeceased by his wife Ann, by his brothers Francis and John, and by his sisters Margaret and Patricia Pigott. Surviving are his two sons, Joseph and wife Tara of Little Silver, NJ, Charles and wife Denise of Morganville, NJ, five daughters, Jeanne Kennedy and husband John of Freehold NJ, Joanne Sullivan and husband Timothy of Aberdeen NJ, Alice Cassidy of Freehold, NJ, Jacqueline Bergin and husband Matthew of Fair Haven, NJ and Denise Laferrera and husband Michael of Sea Bright, NJ, brother Joseph Cassidy of Plainview NY, sisters Catherine Cassidy and Marian Breiter of Long Branch, NJ, Anne Lynch of Matawan, NJ, and nine grandchildren, Dylan, Tara, Sean, Thomas, Connor, Deaglan, Olivia, Caroline and Eileen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 9:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday 10:30 AM at St. Benedict R.C. Church, Holmdel. Internment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Keyport.
