Obituary of Tony P Crisofulli
U.S. Army Medic, Korean War, Bronze Star Recipient Tony P. Crisofulli, 83, of Manahawkin passed away at home on Friday, February 8, 2013. He was born in Newark, to his parents Frank and Filippina. He then lived in Garwood for 34 years before moving to Manahawkin 17 years ago. Tony served proudly as a Medic in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, and was awarded the Bronze Star. He was also a member of VFW Post 3729 on Long Beach Island. Prior to his retirement, he was a sales representative for E.I. Dupont in Springfield, NJ. Tony had many friends, and never hesitated to help anyone. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather as well. He was predeceased by his brothers Alphonse, John, Phil, Alex, and Frank, by his sisters Grace Eckert and Lena Crisofulli. Tony is survived by his loving wife of 57 years – Betty, his son Thomas and his wife Anastasia, daughters Lori and her husband Chuck David, and Janice and her husband Gerard Scapicchio, his sister Ida Guerra, his grandchildren Sean, Kelly, Gerard, Jenna, Tony, Tommy and Tanner, and by many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 – South Holmdel Road, Holmdel on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday 10:30AM at St. Clement R.C. Church, 172 Freneau Avenue, Matawan. Entombment will then follow at the Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum.
