Obituary of Francis H. Weiss
Served our Country - World War II Francis H. Weiss, 84, of Holmdel, passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Liberty Royal Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Tinton Falls. Francis (Frank) was born in Rahway, NJ in 1927 to Charles M. and Alma (Karstens) Weiss. He was employed by Gist-Brocades Food Ingredients, formerly Anheuser Busch in Old Bridge. He worked there for 45 years as a painter/maintenance mechanic before retiring in 1992. He served in the Merchant Marines as a Seaman Second Class aboard the S.S. Sea Fiddler from June 26, 1945 to February 5, 1947. He was a communicant of St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Holmdel. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Charles & Alma, his wife, Laura M., and a son, Christopher Gary Weiss. He is survived by his son, Brian and his wife Diana, and their daughters, Bonnie and Caitlin, and his great-granddaughter, Emily. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00PM at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday 9:15AM at St. Catharine's R.C. Church, Holmdel. Entombment will be in St. Gabriel's Cemetery, Marlboro.
