Helen Buczynski formerly of Holmdel passed away on Friday June 10, while residing at her son’s home in Toms River, NJ. She was born in Bayonne and moved to Holmdel 56 years ago. Helen attended Bayonne Schools and Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing and State Teachers College. She was a registered nurse in NJ and NY. She was employed as Instructor of Nurses at Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing and Marlboro Psychiatric Hospital as Assistant Director of Nurses. Helen was a member at St. Benedict R.C. Church, Holmdel. She was a 9 o’clocker and member of the Rosary group. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Chester in 2012; her brother Matthew Kaczorek; her sisters Peggy Basczewski, Harriet Matusiewicz, Irene Komar and Genevieve Lukasiewcz. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Judith Pingitore and husband Joie, son Mark Buczynski and his wife Bette; grandchildren, Jessica (Paul) Lockwood, Alison (Arthur) DaPonte, Marissa (Ryan) Keany, Corinne (Kevin) Wagner, Lena (Pete) Olson, and Brian Buczynski; and great grandchildren, Landon Thomas Wagner and Jaxson Carter Lockwood. Visitation Monday, June 13th 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. A Mass of Christian burial Tuesday, June 14th at 9:45 am at St. Benedict R.C.
